I hope you’ve learned a little something from the Birth Matters! Series, and have enjoyed reading all of the amazing birth stories as much as I have.
I’ve been humbled by the responses I’ve gotten from readers, but especially the writers; many have told me it was therapeutic and cathartic to be able to give voice to the joy and triumph and grief and disappointment that are often apart of many women’s collective birth experiences.
Giving birth is one of the most important and influential experiences of our lives, yet how often are we given the opportunity to share it, to rejoice in it, to relive it, to grieve over it?
The sharing of stories is an incredible way to share your knowledge and lessons learned with others, to give direct and indirect love and support, to show compassion and empathy, to release pent up hurt and frustration.
If you’d like to share your own birth story, WHATEVER that story is, feel free to comment below, we’d love to hear it 🙂
